Simple Day-to-Night Fall Look

Warning ⚠️ I am NOT a professional beauty guru like those beautiful babes on YouTube. I’m just a regular mom who occasionally likes to look presentable to society.

If you wanna find out how I create one of my current everyday fall faves, then just keep on reading!

Let’s start with what you’ll need to recreate this look. Everything mentioned is $12 and UNDER!

  • True Color Multifinish Eyeshadow Quad in the shade “Warm Sunrise”
  • LOVE at 1st Lash Mascara
  • True Color Glimmersticks Diamonds Eye Liner in the shade “24 Karat”
  • Ultra Luxury Eye Liner in the shade “Dark Brown”
  • Flat eyeshadow brush
  • Fluffy eyeshadow blending brush

Before you apply any type of makeup, I always recommend starting with a good primer. This will keep things from slipping, sliding, and creasing on your eyes. It’ll even give you a nice light canvas that’ll make your colors pop!

I use Magix Prime Face Perfector wherever I apply makeup. It’s vegan, hydrating, has SPF 20, tightens pores, and my favorite attribute is the blurring technology—teeny baby microspheres blur fine lines, wrinkles, uneven textures! Basically, this one product alone can literally provide a matte, pore-less look in seconds…it’s kinda my hero.

Ready for the Day!

Okay! We’ve set the stage for our glorious eyeshadow masterpiece with primer! Now we can get into the good stuff.

Open up that adorably chic eyeshadow quad. If you don’t have one, there are so many beautiful (and affordable) color combinations to choose from! CLICK HERE

I start by dabbing my fluffy blending brush in the number TWO shade in the quad. I softly apply that across my entire crease and blend it out. Don’t take blending for granted in any of these steps, because nobody likes harsh eyeshadow lines. You want it to look like it melts into your skin. Ya know, ‘cause you’re just so hot.

Next, I go into shade number THREE with that same fluffy brush. With this slightly darker shade, you’ll go right back to that crease. Only this time, the focus is strictly on the crease. You wanna still be blending, but the goal is to deepen and accentuate that crease. And did I say crease? Crease. (It’s starting to not sound like a word.)

You can see in this photo, there’s a subtle depth and warmth compared to the last photo.

After blending, blending, blending my crease, I switch to my flat eyeshadow brush. (Get one just like mine for super cheap.) I dab the flat side of this brush in the shade number ONE and start patting it onto the inner area of my lid. Don’t blend this shade…just pat. I usually try to trace my lid’s natural shape, almost creating a cut-crease…but not quite because I suck at those.

But anyways, what this does is brightens your eyes and brings your lid forward. So you’ve got those darker shades deepening your crease and this light shade bringing your lid forward, really making your eyes pop!

After this, I switch back to my fluffy brush. Using the number FOUR shade in the quad, I go to the outer corners of my lids focusing on the outermost point and blending back to the light shade without going over it.

Now for under the eye, I use the edge of my fluffy brush and pair up colors TWO and THREE and swish them together under my lower lashes. This just brings the look full circle. Oval. Whatever shape.

Real quick, I’ll go back to the number ONE shade but with my fluffy brush this time. We’re just gonna sweep this under our brows across the browbone to highlight.

What’s gonna top off the entire look? What’s gonna bring it all together? What’s the cherry on this cake? This mascara. Love at 1st Lash Mascara is the cell phone to my lashes — they never leave home without it. The tiny heart-shaped fibers hug the base of your lashes, lifting them up from the root! Cute, right? It’s also packed with vitamins A & E and olive oil, so those teeny hairs get pampered. The best part is when I wash it off, it doesn’t look like a mass spider murder in my sink and on my face.

Once you’ve applied your mascara, that’s it for the daytime version of this look! It’s subtle, warm, neutral, and very fall! I love that I can look like I put real effort into my makeup in a matter of minutes. I pair this with highlighter and a sheer nude gloss like the Lip Glow in shade Ambience. You’ll look glowy, warm, and bright!

Time for a Night Out?

We love a versatile look, am I right? I don’t want to have to completely change up my makeup if I’m going from leggings and a tee to jeans and…a nicer tee. I like being able to just tweak a thing or two within seconds and be transformed. So now I want to show you how I do that with this look. This is where the two eyeliners will come into play. I don’t know about you, but when I think of a night-out look, I think of metallics and smoky eyes! That’s what we’re gonna aim for here.

First, let’s go back to the eyeshadow quad and grab a bit of shades THREE and FOUR for under our eyes. This is just gonna darken up the overall look and smoke it out. Think “earthy-toned bedroom eyes.” Sounds sultry, right?

After we’ve gone to the dark side, we’ll go in with the True Color Glimmersticks Diamonds in the shade 24 Karat. I just pretend I’m coloring by number and apply this where I put the number ONE shade on the inner area of my lid. I use the tip of my ring finger to gently buff it out so there’s no harsh lines or squiggles.

The last thing I do is smoke out the outer area of my top lids by applying a small line of the Ultra Luxury Liner in the shade Dark Brown and smudging it. Now, if you’re skilled in the art of winged liner, that’s even better! But sadly, I’m not. It’s not my thing.

And voilà! We’re done! See what I mean by simple? Go from day to night in literally SECONDS. That’s a mommy makeup hack if there ever was one. Pair this with almost any shade of matte lip. My go-to is this Mattitude Liquid Lipstick in the shade Tenacious or Resilient.
